\nJOB DESCRIPTION \n\nOB-GYN \n\nOB-GYN Responsibilities:\nThe OB Nurse is responsible for providing comprehensive care to obstetric patients throughout their pregnancy, labor and delivery, and postpartum period. This includes assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of patients in the obstetric unit. The OB Nurse works in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, including obstetricians, pediatricians, and anesthesiologists, to provide the best possible care for patients.\nKey Responsibilities:\n---\tAssessing and monitoring the physical, emotional and educational needs of obstetric patients\n---\tProviding care and support to patients during labor and delivery\n---\tAdministering medications and monitoring vital signs as needed\n---\tAssisting with cesarean sections and other surgical procedures\n---\tEducating patients and their families about pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum care\n---\tCollaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans\n---\tDocumenting patient care in the medical record\n---\tMaintaining a safe and clean environment in the obstetric unit\nQualifications:\n---\tCurrent RN license\n---\tBachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)\n---\tMinimum of 2 years of experience as an OB Nurse\n---\tStrong communication and interpersonal skills\n---\tAbility to work well in a team environment\n---\tStrong organizational and time management skills\n---\tAbility to work well under pressure and in high-stress situations\n---\tBasic Life Support (BLS) and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification\nThe OB Nurse is an essential member of the healthcare team and plays a critical role in ensuring the health and well-being of mothers and their newborns. This is a not full time but contracted travel position.\n\n\n
