Would you like to contribute to the protection of the environment and the operational reliability of our pipeline systems by performing high value, high risk work associated with the routine pipeline maintenance and open system hot work on all mainline piping, terminal, and station facilities? What you will do:

• Inspecting, Operating and Maintaining Valves, inspecting pipe, launching and receiving pigging tools.
  
• Perform Energy Isolation (Lockout-Tagout) prior to maintenance activities.
  
• Schedule and perform quality control sampling
  
• Regulatory Preventative Maintenance activity such as Tank Inspections, Valve Inspections and Facility Security Inspections.
  
• Perform all types of applicable pipeline maintenance and repair (e.g., emergency repair, stopple, etc.) using appropriate Company procedures including but not limited to tasks listed in Company manuals.
  
• Become Operator Qualified on all required covered tasks prior to performing work independently and oversee those not qualified when required.
  
• Understand and follow all safety requirements relative to the performance of pipeline maintenance.
  
• Use and maintain all required PPE and tools
  
• Complete hazard assessments and Issue work permits as required and act as a Company inspector of contract work as required.
  
• Performing troubleshooting, repairs, inspections, calibrations and replacement of equipment as necessary
  
• Scheduling calibrations, inspections, audits, and other related activities
  
• Maintain facilities in clean condition free from spills. Eliminating, containing, and reporting all product and/or crude leaks, seeps, and spills
  
• Responding to emergencies and assisting in maintaining emergency equipment
  
• Provide effective assistance in emergency response including containment, repair, and cleanup as well as emergency preventative actions relating to abnormal right-of-way conditions to avert any possible incident.
  
• Alcohol free on-call rotation for the area of responsibility
  
  
  Who you are:
  You have the following education & experience:
  
  • High school diploma or equivalent
    
  • 1-2 years of previous experience
    
  • Basic understanding and use of computers
    
  • Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record.
    
  • DOT Medical Certification Card or eligibility to obtain.
    
  • Should live within 25 miles of the reporting location, unless agreed upon by management.
    
  • Experience in operations or maintenance for a crude oil pipeline, tank farm, or delivery facility preferred.
    
    
    Working Conditions:
    
    • Field and office environment with regularly scheduled travel and at times overnight stays.
      
    • Frequent travel along the pipeline right of way and to construction sites.
      
    • Over time and flexibility when required to manage multiple projects, emergency response operations, adverse weather conditions, work priorities, fieldwork schedules, and out of town travel.
      
    • Shifting priorities to meet changing directions.
      
    • Position may require quick decision making under intense conditions. Position also requires a working knowledge of field and office diplomacy and maintaining relationship with external partners.
      
    • Works independently with little day to day direction.
      
    • Time commitments may extend beyond normal working hours.

      Include but are not limited to: Balancing, bending and stooping, climbing, crawling, carrying (up to 50 pounds), grasping, kneeling, lifting (objects up to 50 pounds), pulling hand over hand, pushing, reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, walking, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement, grasping, kneeling, light - moderate lifting (objects up to 45 pounds), reaching above shoulder, repetitive motion, sitting, standing, visual requirement (able to see screens, detect color coding, read fine print), hearing requirement.

      Include but are not limited to: Ability to: understand, remember and apply oral and/or written instructions or other information, understand complex problems and collaborate/explore alternative solutions, organize thoughts and ideas into understandable terminology, organize and prioritize work schedule on a short-term basis, make decisions which have moderate impact on the immediate work unit and monitor impact outside this area, understand and follow basic instructions and guidelines, complete routine forms, compose letters, outlines, memoranda and basic reports and communicate with individuals via telephone.
