Job Description:
A company is looking for a Pro-Fee Coder - General Surgical.
Key Responsibilities
Review clinical documentation to assign and sequence diagnostic and
procedural codes for various patient types
Ensure professional charges are substantiated and create compliant
queries when documentation is unclear
Maintain knowledge of coding guidelines and participate in training
and auditing of coding colleagues
Required Qualifications
High School diploma or GED
An active AAPC (CPC) or AHIMA (CCA, CCS, CCS-P) credential
Minimum of five years coding experience or two years in ancillary
procedural or simple surgical coding
Knowledge of medical terminology and coding guidelines
Proficient in MS Office and ability to code at a 95% accuracy
threshold
